Louis Armstrong was born on August 04, 1901 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Soon after he was born his father, William Armstrong who worked as a factory worker abandoned the family. While his mother Mary Albert Armstrong who often left him with his maternal grandmother and went to prostitution. He had to leave 5th grade to worked at a job collecting junk and delivering coal. Karnofskys, gave the young Louis the job. They were like his second family who encouraged him to sing and invited him for meals...
The Very End:
Louis Armstrong died on July 06, 1971 in July 06, 1971 in Corona, Queens, New York. In 1968 life had caught up with him. Heart and kidney problems had stopped him from performing. The same year his manager died, and he spent most of his time at home where he was able to practice every once and awhile on his trumpet. In 1971 he performed again and had a heart attack after one of his gigs. In may 1971, after he had his heart attack he promised to play one more public performance. He died in his sleep July 6th, 1971 at age 69 from a heart attack...

Even when he was in an old age he was still popular he lead the top charts in music at one point. He changed the taste of music for everyone in the country. He was known as a "Uncle Tom" because he was treated like a white person, he was a privileged colored man.
